Currently, I need to add a WHERE clause to 80+ tables in the Replications grid of Replicate Preview to filter for a specific MANDT / CLIENT, just because it is not possible to add that filter at the Source ODBC level.
There’s no way to add the same WHERE condition to several tables in a single shot.
Adding the WHERE condition, table by table, It’s a manual and tedious process, and subject to errors.
There’s no way to tell from the Replications grid which tables already have a WHERE condition, and which not.
The only way to check if they have a WHERE condition, and which is its value, is by clicking the Edit button of each of them. This button is in the same row, to the right… you need to move your mouse to do this and lose focus.
Instead, please allow double clicking the row to open the details window. It is fine if by default the information is read-only and editing is not possible (but then, please add an “Edit” button to the pop-up window so we can make changes directly from the pop-up, if needed).
Also, it would be nice if we got some kind of warning when entering a filter if the filter makes no sense. For example, if I add a WHERE condition to table TZUN to filter by MANDT, a warning could appear since that table does not have a MANDT field.
