I agree, and thank you for the feedback. The plan is to add a DATASTORE screen which would be the primary landing page for looking at the Systems / Datastores / Tables. Systems become more of an Attribute, along with the Count of Tables to a summary grid of Datastores - similar to what we have with Datasources in Migrate and SST.
Secondly, the plan is to pull out Connections to the admin module more explicitly such that Connections are a global asset and can be shared across Systems and Datastores. Goal is to also separate out the credentials and support Key stores. This gives our customers more control by supporting external key stores which keeps sensitive passwords out of the SKP cloud.
Rather than make users navigate to another Dashboard - we have been building in support for native charting components with the goal of adding these elements into the existing screens where appropriate.
I would love to hear some thoughts about what we could show using these components that would make the page more usable - Relative size of Datastores, Connection status, Last Refresh Dates? While most of these would go into the Datastore Grid as columns, some of these items might present nice as charting components for some better visual feedback as to the state, status, or quality of the data in that grid.
