Import/Export Table List for Snapshot Management from Excel

For adding new S4 targets the process to add individual tables is extremely cumbersome. Importing and exporting from/to excel would alleviate a lot of the time involved in executing setup.

There is a DEFAULT LIST of tables by Application in Migrate today. When you add a new Datasource under an application, the tables marked as active in “Application Tables” will be imported automatically.

You can add/remove/activate/inactivate that list of tables in Admin / Advanced / Applications.

But the request to Bulk Import into that list would be a nice feature request. I’m not sure we would prioritize that work as we do already have this feature coming to the new System / Datastores - a new version of the Systems UI in the Catalog.

A Datastore is basically the same as a “Datasource” in Migrate/SST. But by having a SYSTEM / DATASTORE / TABLE list, we can choose which tables we scan, import one table at a time, or bulk load a list of tables from a file. We are working to implement the same idea as APPLICATIONS and APPLICATION TABLES into the catalog so it can be leveraged by all of the product, not just Migrate. That work is underway, but it will be a while before its ready for release.

You could also create table lists per source system and manage that list… this would be helpful for default SAP tables to include as well… start with the delivered set and allow additions from the scan.

You could move it to the system table list instead of snapshot management as well.
